Try Discount Cards for Fundraising for Amazing Results with Less Effort

If your group or organization has never tried discount cards for fundraising, you will be amazed at how easy it is, and the results you can achieve with little effort.  You probably already know these cards have been popular for fundraising for decades, but for one reason or another you have just never given it a try yourself.  If you're ready to learn more so that you can decide if this is something you want your organization to participate in, you will find all of the information you need below!

Using discount cards for fundraising means easier sales.  It just makes sense that potential customers would rather buy something that benefits them in one way or another, doesn't it?  Candy bars and jerky are delicious, but how many people actually need them, or are willing to spend money on something that really isn't necessary when their budget is tight?  The cards are perceived as valuable by customers, because they offer great discounts and "deals" at merchants in their own community, and these specials are good for an entire year.  Ultimately, a customer could save hundreds of dollars over one year at their favorite restaurants, the local gym, the hair salon, even on an oil change or tune up for the car - and they only pay $10 for the card, so it's a great deal.  What it all comes down to is that more sales means more profit!

Those in your organization don't have to work like a dog for a little dribble of profits.  How much effort (and how many sales) does it take to raise thousands of dollars when you're only making $1 or two on each sale of a candy bar?  A lot, for sure.  By using discount cards for fundraising you will enjoy tremendous profits without all of the hard work and effort.  Having a product that sells so easily contributes in one way to the profitability, however when you have a product that earns you 50%, 70% or even more, it really adds up in a hurry.  With these cards, the more you purchase from the card company and sell, the higher your profit margins.  In fact, it isn't unusual for large groups to enjoy profit margins of higher than 100%, because for every 1,000 you order you get 200 free.

We mentioned you don't have to work like a dog, and you don't.  When you decide on discount cards for fundraising, you simply choose which local merchants you would like to include to offer a deal on the back of your cards (usually at least a dozen).  Once you have discussed your fundraiser with the merchants and secured their participation, simply give your details to the card company so that they can print up the number of cards you need.  Once you receive them, you're ready to go.  Compared to other methods used for fundraising, this one requires very little effort or work!

Of course, even if you do decide that you want to try discount cards for fundraising you don't have to rely solely on the cards; they're great when combined with the other things you do to raise money as well.  School clubs and organizations, church groups, basketball and football programs, the local PTA - there are many groups that have relied on this method of fundraising over the years, and enjoyed tremendous success.

What does it hurt to give discount cards for fundraising a try?  Once you see how easy it really can be to raise a substantial amount of money without all of the back-breaking labor and planning, you will be a believer!  And one more thing - wouldn’t those in your organization who do most of the selling love something that they can feel good about promoting, and that requires less work?
